Tanah Lot Sunset at Bali
Temples adorned the island and every dance or celebration is a dedication of worship to the Gods. I was brought to the southwest coast of the island. Featuring the unique offshore Tanah Lot Temple, dedicated to the Goddess of the Sea, built on a large rock, cut off from the mainland at high tide. It is said that a sea snake is the guardian of the temple. The breaking surf surrounding the temple enriches the fantastic sunset panorama that could be experienced in the late afternoon. A stop enroute made at the Kedaton Forest, get jokes with the tame monkeys that inhabit of the lofty nutmeg forest and see the temple that’s standing in the heart of the forest dating back form the 10th century. These monkeys are exceptionally clever and will snatch away your specs or anything they can get their hands on. So beware the next time you visit Bali.
