Tasty Penang, Malaysia

When one mentions about Penang, one's thoughts will straight away think of Penang Laksa (Sour & Spicy noodle soup) or Penang Char Kway Teow (Sweet sauce stir fried noodles). I've been to Penang for a couple of times and always remember those aroma when one is even few meters from the stall. One can practically smell your way to the stall, especially when the stall is selling Penang Char Kway Teow studded with crisp crackling bites are enough to water that appetite.

Many sightseeing places abounds in Penang, but i must say and i believe it applies to the rest of the travellers whom have been to Penang will agree that its a food haven...Travel down to the stall outside Sin Hwa Coffeeshop, right opposite Pulau Tikus Police Station in Jalan Burma, which opens from 10.30am - 5pm daily to taste that tasty and aromatic Penang Char Kway Teow.

Next,i think which is popular food in Penang has to be Penang Asam Laksa. Down at Penang Road and Burma Road by the name of Kek Seng Coffeeshop, you will get to taste that authentic Penang Asam Laksa. The Asam Laksa in Penang is not really spicy but the soup base is sourish and hence covers the spicy part of the soup. Still, if you can't take spicy, arm yourself with a bottle of mineral water.

The next round you get to visit Penang, hop on down to these food hunts, don't eat at restaurants as the Penangites have a reputation for being discerning and frugal, so the city's hawkers offer the best meal deals.
