Upon reaching Perhentian ferry terminal, we quickly booked our accommodations for our stay in Perhentian but some of the good ones were already taken. We had to settle for one that was average by far and reasonably priced.
Perhentian islands is located at South China Sea east coast of Malaysia, the Perhentian group of islands consists of Perhentian Besar and Perhentian Kecil. Situated 108 km from Kuala Terengganu (1½ Hours) and 54 km from Kota Bharu (1 Hours) .The boat journey of about 30 minute by speedboat and 1 1/2 by slow boat.
Once, we reach the shores of Perhentian island for our resort stay, we were quickly met by our resort representatives and brought us directly to our rooms which were a stones throw away from the shoreline. All of us were feeling pretty tired by then but quickly we head out to the nearby beach for a fun splashing around, snorkeling, and swimming in the waters. The waters nearby were crystal clear, sandy beach and a big hot sun, what more can we ask for???
In the afternoon, we trekked our way and ventured out to the other side of the island, there were a couple of nice resorts, restaurants and some local land agents, which we booked our return boat transfer back to our side of the sea shore. It was a good price for a group of us for the boat transfer, it was pretty cold and dark when we took the transfer and at last when we reach our resort, it was drizzling abit too.
Our room was abit run down with a attached bathroom, but the water pump for this resort sucks, water was practically dripping into our pail to collect the water. However, we still took our baths and got into bed, very tired and exhausted but happy and excited to what will unfold for us tomorrow.
I will stop here and will continue with part 2 in my next post.
