Why Paris, France is called the City of Lights???

Just following up on my blogging on movie that i've watched last weekend - "Mr Bean's Holiday". I've done some research coz Paris, France is a place i would dream of going to but as for now, i can only dream going there. The nickname of Paris, called the City of Lights, coz when you take a slow stroll down the streets when dusk falls, bridges, monuments, museums will start to twinkle, hence the nickname City of Lights.

Eurostar was the train network that Mr Bean took when he was luckily chosen as a winner of the draw conducted in his neighbourhood church, the no. 919 ticket instead of 616. The London Waterloo station, where he boarded the Eurostar train which takes about 3 hrs where he starts taking video clips of his trip all the way with his Sony Videocam, prize donated by one of the church sponsors.

When Mr Bean reaches Paris Nord Station, he took some time to explore the city of Paris, visiting a Swish Restaurant, trying to buy a sandwich from a vending machine which ended up swallowing his tie. Apart from this, there are alot of things you can do in this beautiful city, for now i would like to introduce "Quartier Latin", a street known for its many lively atmospheric bistros. Bistros are nice for that quick meal on the go or just sipping a cuppa and watching people walking pass. Next, "Galeries Lafayette", a french department store company with 10th storey of shopping, you'll go crazy shopping. If you have more time on hand, hop on down to the "Canal St-Martin", a walk beside the canal or just sitting down and watching the day go by, a nice pick, if you are on a budget tour. This is only a 20 mins walk from Paris Nord Station.

Besides that, if you are on a budget, you can always go down to Eurostar's website where they have alot of ongoing promotions like Hotel + Eurostar packages or Hotel + Events or Attractions in Paris + Eurostar packages and many more.
