Does anyone these days gets their wishes, needs, ones, what have you, fulfilled at all? Or so desperate that you wish that God will just let it fall into your lap or wishes that some miracle will happen overnight and your wish list is fulfilled. Could it be that its still not the right moment for that to happen in your life now? All these were coursing thru' my brain when i was at this little village in China.
This big tree was the centre of attraction. On top of it has hung lots of well wishers wishing for that extra bit of luck be it, for their children, work, relationship, the lottery, sick, family, themselves...the list goes on and on... What one will do is to buy this length of red cloth tie around a stone and thrown up to the tree top. If the cloth gets stuck in the tree, it means that your wishes will be fulfilled. However if your cloth comes down without being entangled in the branches, you will have to try it again.
I felt foolish to be throwing that red cloth up to some unknown superstitious tree to have my wishes granted. Have saw both young and old trying their luck to throw it up to the tree. But how many of their wishes really came true, remains unknown...Till then my tree, may your branches be decorated with lots of red cloth and hopefully these folks will have their wishes come thru'...
